Very Happy Went to see Jeff Lynne's ELO at the Genting arena ( NEC ) last night. A great show musically was only bettered by an incredible show visually, with spectacular images throughout. A big shout out to the feeling who were support too, i could have listened to them for a lot longer..superb evening Very Happy

Lucky fellow - I'd love to watch the show! I guess it was pretty much a greatest hits show?

I have the new album, much of the same, but after a long silence it is still welcome. Alas the price of the tickets put me off, but I will buy the Blu Ray when it is available. Very Happy

Very Happy I too have the album Chris, but if anything, i was put off by that, as i think it's a bit one paced, and while the tickets weren't cheap, they were worth every penny. I'm not sure how much touring he's got left in him, so it was great to see him again, the last time was the out of the blue tour with the spaceship at Bingley Hall in staffordshire, which was hilarious because my mate complained that we couldn't see, so a guard took us up stairs to where all the VIP's were, which included all of the page 3 girls of the time, so we met Samantha Fox and Linda Lusardi too Laughing Laughing

Very Happy I saw them in 1986, at the Heartbeat charity gig at the NEC, 12 hours of all Brummie bands, ELO, UB40, Led Zep, Moody Blues, and loads of others I can't remember. Suzzane Mizzie was my bird of choice. I had a poster of her on my wardrobe door, when my then wife was pregnant with our first son, on the doctors visit he looked at the picture then the wife and said "wow, she's put some weight on "

I found the latest album a very slight let-down (I had high hopes for it), but I'd still like to see the tour. Great band. Fave albums are probably Time and Zoom.

Very Happy I quite liked the earlier stuff too, the album Eldorado was cool, i liked Evil woman, and 10538 overture..maybe it was the era but it all seemed so much more experimental then Very Happy

Talking of ELO, I've been waiting years for this band to finally record their album - and it looks like they're almost there.

Here's one of their songs from a few years ago:
