Hi All. New to the forum and a new IB fan as well. Heard Calling All The Heroes way back when and always loved that song but never heard any more and was settling down etc...etc...

Fast forward to October 2014 and through Spotify discover "The Tall Ships" and was completing won over. Then went backwards and discovered the first 3 albums and loved them also before fast forwarding again to find the magnificent Map Of The Past.

No old fan baggage here- both incarnations are excellent and are on an equal footing in my book

They've rarely been off my playing rota since and I reckon my 7 year old daughter must be the youngest in Britain for being able to sing Judas right through!!!

Apart from the obvious classics like Judas, Old Man and OATW my current favourites are Turn Me Loose, Leaving Without You, Hunting The Whale, The Tall Ships, The Lights, Map Of The Past, Meadow and the Stream, Cartoon Graveyard and The Last Escape.

Reading one of the other threads there appears to be some doubt as to whether they'll write or play again... If any of the guys read this then please I need to see you play live at least once....i'll pay 50 grand- when my lottery numbers come up....honest!!!!!

Not forgetting "The Ice Melts Into Water"... probably one of THE best IB tunes!

A belated welcome! Shall we just have a whip round? If we can't fund a gig lets do a forum meet up, just like the old days...

By old days I mean 5 or 6 years ago Smile

Yes, yes and thrice yes. Maybe in the spring? We can have a "I'll meet you in the Spring" forum get together! Very Happy OK, we might not have a gig to go to but that shouldn't stop us all meeting up from time to time...

Good call! I was mulling over the idea today and this year is jam packed with stuff already but 2016 is ready and waiting!

Let's get the Posse(tm) to work on this and come up with a cunning plan!

I think this could hopefully be a go-er. If we choose somewhere fairly UK-central hopefully more people can attend. Maybe Birmingham/Sheffield/Nottingham or the like on a Saturday in mid-late April? I'll start a new topic and gauge interest. Smile
