Very Happy Didn't know the ticket sales were poor ? I did hear about the Visa's though, in what turned out to be a bit of a fiasco. How on earth do you stop a bunch of American musicians ( Collins aside ) from playing gigs in their own country ? Confused Shocked Mad

Hmm... I might have to listen to Franks new stuff before I commit to this one. When I thought SOC were supporting I was definitely there.

You may have seen some comments in the other thread I started. I didn't see this one. Great album and show coming your way from Francis. No, I'm not on it or in the live band. I also won't be at the charity gig this year. I had a great time last year when we had Steve Hackett guest and now the bookend gig Frank and I played with him last week make a nice complete circle.

I do enjoy playing with Francis and love his songs. We might do some house concerts together (possibly trio with Dorie) next year. Something we talked about doing and there will be some really cool old songs in it. I'll talk more about that later on though. For right now I'm working in the studio and with my company Sonic Reality on some Pink Floyd and Rush related projects that Francis is also a guest on and that may include some original music as well. That's where I really get to do my thing AND work with him. It's like two different modes. When he's in "artist mode" he does whatever he wants and you need to follow along to a T or he'll rip you another a-hole. Haha. No not really but he has a strong vision and knows where he wants to go. I'm the same way when I'm in artist mode (and I like to be in artist mode most of the time). When he's in session musician mode he's still the artist but he fits into your vision and lines up with it amazingly (if he connects with it genuinely and if he doesn't he just won't do it... which I respect). So, I think I work with him best when I'm the writer or producer and he adds his magic. As for HIS records, I'm more of a friend and an outside opinion when he wants some feedback. I'm honored he includes me in his creativity however he chooses to do it. It's interesting to see how it develops and I'm looking forward to the final album! I think fans of his electric guitar playing are going to dig this big time.

That is one long paragraph! It had to end some time. Wink Seriously, go to his electric prog band gigs! You're in for some rare shredding and fun. I think his album goes on pre-order soon.

I'll be needing to hear a sampler before clicking any pre-order buttons.

The links to samples are coming, and if you know the secret words and handshake you'll be allowed into the clubhouse to listen.

Come on ... no autotune or spurious fx, really loud guitars and a blast from the past - has to be an easier decision Smile.

Besides, it's hardly the cost of a couple of cups of Starbucks coffee ... which I don't drink so it was no decision, actually. However, the post to Canada was half the cost of the cd. That would be his merchandising agency, but it still is silly imho.

Anyone wending to Cumbria for the show?

Fantastic Sav!

Looks like there is audio on Frank's site.

I'm not home and this computer is in reapair mode so I can't actually listen yet, but Bastchain will be able to give us his verdict Smile.

Just having a listen. Dunno really. Most of it sounds here nor there so far to my ears. A couple of the tunes remind me of early Sabbath, or perhaps AC DC. All sounds a bit thin though. No keyboards? I shall have a few more listens.

Yeah I like that - great to hear Dunnery back with some proper rock guitar. I'll be ordering and going to the show.
