All parking is free in the evenings of course.. Head for Bolton Street..Park on the East Lancs Railway car park, or the council one opposite, or on the street opposite the E.L.R station entrance. 200 yard walk to the Met! |

Sorry I'm late.....
Yes ...the Trackside is a good bet! THe other place I would recommend is this:
http://www.automaticcafe.com/
which is actually right next door to the venue. It's actually the Malt Bar that is the good bit!
Hope to see some of you there... _________________ 'I once killed a Badger by playing it Pendragon' |

Detention for lateness! Thanks Rob. Good shout. Looks a nice bar and food looks good too. Might see you in there! Thanks for parking advice too Plastic Dreamer. Which is the safest? My chauffeur is fussy about where he leaves his limo at gigs. |

Yes chaps,I think the bar next door looks too convenient to miss. Shall we convene there? _________________ 'I once killed a Badger by playing it Pendragon' |

Sounds good to me. Trains/trams permitting, I'm hoping to reach Bury by about 5.30 pm. _________________ Innit. |

Unfortunately, we won't be there - but please, Rob/Sue/Russ/Warwick/Jill, look after my oldest bestest mate Andrew (This is England) who will be there, and will be flying the Flag for us! (You'll remember him from the Works meetups)

Phew!
What a gig. Hot(20+ degrees!), pretty much packed and animated.
Never been to the Met before, nice venue, good sound, reminiscent of Holmfirth but on a smaller scale, hope the lads play here again at some point.
Map of the Past, plus a smattering of The Tall Ships and a solitary delve into the past catalogue-the name of which appears on the May page of the It Bites 2012 Calendar-for anyone who has not bought it yet!
Nice work lads-keep it up-Your Country Needs You!!! |

Good sound??? Were we at the same gig? awful, awful awful- let the band down as the performance seemed pretty good. Everything just mushed together and echoed all night long.
Pretty much as I expected at this place- I've seen it destroy sets by Mostly Autumn, The Reasoning and IQ in the past - in fact tonight was probably the best sound I've ever heard in there.. but that's a bit like saying which of the Neville Brothers is the best looking |

From where I was standing, far right side of the 'auditorium', things sounded fine to me. No problem hearing all the instruments and enjoyed the performance-I.M.O
And surely-that's all that matters. |

Also thought the sound was a bit iffy the only time it was right was for Judas, but have to say thoroughly enjoyable gig. Brave move to play MOTP all the way through. I'll stick a couple of short extracts on site when I get round to it. _________________ It took me 20 years to see them |

I was chuffed the band were doing Bury Met, a venue I really like and was so looking forward to this gig only to have it ruined by shocking sound! I was towards the back on John Beck's side but moved around because it was so bad there though that didn't help much. Although it improved slightly towards the end the sound was all bottom end and both lead vocals and lead guitar constantly struggled to cut through and were often lost in the mix. No clarity whatsoever. The crowd seemed to be a little flat as well, certainly a lack of atmosphere compared to previous gigs? Did anyone else feel the sound let the band down? A pity as it's such a great album but the sound had to be better than that for it to come across properly. |
