Well if he does I expect a lot of the negativity on this forum will have contributed (and I certainly don't get the impression it's a "publicity stunt")

Shocked WTF? Needless to say but I hope it isn't true! Surely it can't be with a new album and a tour on the way. I hope it's John just venting, or being jokingly controversial.

He's deleted the tweet. Probably just venting, as wayfarer said.

That's the problem with Twitter - a bit of a vent can cause a lot of anguish....... Crying or Very sad

I'd hope not, Amanda

As an artist /producer/writer who regularly has his name attached to a LOT of music that gets sent to professional critics (and, therefore, potentially open to a HELLUVA lot more negativity than is found on this forum), I'd like to think our beloved leader has thicker skin than that.

I'm sure everyone on this forum is, first and foremost, a real fan of It Bites in some, if not all, of its incarnations - if not, why the hell would they register?

I don't actually think there's that much negativity aimed directly AT the band itself on these threads, if any.

I'm sure we've all faced a sh1tload of MUCH worse and more poisonous IB-related abuse and teasing from other folks throughout the years. They are, for some reason, a "Marmite" kinda band...

Crying or Very sad

I for one am guilty of voicing disappointment at things like Scotland having no gigs in tour schedules or curfews cutting sets unnecessarily short. But that isn't "negativity" imho.

Anyhow, here's hoping it was a joke or a spur-of-the-moment rant from JM.

This new album is shaping up to be a classic. So, let's hold it together a lttle while longer, Johnny Boy!

Don't worry, chaps. It was just a vent - and certainly no publicity stunt.
