Julie, it may be possible (if bods are travelling by train) for Earley, Winnersh and Winnersh Triangle stations to be used too, as they're even closer to Hurst. Smile

Good point, Dena. I live closer to central Reading, but can call at the others en route.
In that case lifts are available from whatever Reading(ish) station is most convenient Smile

That's a really kind gesture, Julie. Thanks! Very Happy

Sorry it's a little out of town, but (a) I had to get a big room and (b) it's a bit nearer than Coventry this time!

I take it we'll have a few audience members this time - if you girls are going, I can probably convince Kate to come...

Ditto!

I'd happily trek down from Yorkshire though, if you'll have me Smile
And I can bring some drums and cymbals for extra things to hit.
And my singing voice for BVs if needed.

Sorry chaps, can't make this one, as Froglette and the Froglets and I are all going skiing for 2 weeks across that date Sad

On a positive note, we do have a king-sized double-roomed suite with our own private Jacuzzi, and I'm doing the famous bobsleigh run on the Winter Olympics track on the first day... Smile

Me and Mrs M would love to be there, even if only as audience/makers of brews etc.

Is the studio accessible from central Reading as we'll be on the train?

Sally and I are both confirmed for this. Hoping to have a couple of new Fushi tracks by that time ... and with our new guitarist supremo, Flamadiddle.

I'm up for any of the tracks mentioned so far except YNGTH, which I'll leave for someone else to do!

Put me down for bass duties on:

Old Man and the Angel
Screaming
KLJ
Vampires
Ice Melts
Yellow Christian

and ... Losers Day Parade

If anyone wants the bass notes for Ghosts, just let me know - it's a pretty easy one bass wise.

I'd quite like to have a bash at singing Ghosts if that's possible?

Awesome G-man Very Happy Looking forward to it. I'm putting together transcriptions of LDP and some Frost* tracks in between my coursework/actual work so will upload them somewhere if anyone wants. Will be a little while yet though. There's at least three guitar parts in parts of Loser's Day Parade so would help to have a couple at least.

G-Man...I'd be interested in the Bass parts for Ghosts and anything else you have on the list, if you can post them or PM me?

OK, shaping up nicely - but....

I've just been informed that - yet again - I've picked a day which clashes with a gig by a God. Maybe it's divine intervention , given the "religious" theme...

Peter Gabriel is playing the O2 Arena on the evening of 27th March 2010.

Do we want to move the bash back a week?

I've just re-confirmed the booking so please post your views quickly!

As far as musicians and songs go, well, our man and new forum lurker Jon will be joining us this time, so can cover the bass on KLJ, Ghosts, Screaming, and if he brings his pedals, YNGTH, so Gman, maybe you can PM Jon and work out how you want to split it. Flam and Rally, I'll leave you to carve up the guitars. Drums - we already have Tanjobidesu and RacingHippo, and Paiste1 I hope, so we're good there. Keys - hopefully we'll have PinkSkinnyHead as well as Sally so I can sit back and watch a bit - or even sing....

Talking of singers - we have Tanj and Gman, Sally, but if anyone else has not yet stood forward, we would still like more!

So - it's a go.

I will work on a sequence for YNGTH, again, in the original Frankie key please if that's OK. This will be available just after Xmas.

I'm also attempting but failing to extract the IB Tokyo video version audio track for OMATA - if anyone has a free DVD to MP3 ripper software please PM me. Why do I need this - well, I'm a hapless amateur and need to slow things down to half speed to seperate the keyboard parts etc.

To the girls - thanks for offers of lifts - Rob and Sue M are most welcome and may well need picking up and chauffeuring. We hope you are up for a bit of singing too!

So - please let me know if we need to re-schedule - ideally by the end of the weekend.

And now a word from our sponsor...

John Beck Happy
