Hey, dudes. There's got to be enough of us would-be musicians on this forum to... record a Forum track! C'mon, who's up for it? Someone could record a kicking drum lick, email me the WAV, I could then email it onto someone else who could offer up a Bass line, and repeat for Guitars, Keys, Vocals, etc...
Would it / could it work? Comments please... _________________ I'm anespeptic, frasmotic, even compunctuous to have caused you such pericumbobulations... |

Do you know, thats a sterling idea Mr. Frog. There definitely is a large number of instrumentalists on this forum I have noticed. The possibilities are definitely there. _________________ watch him - he's a weirdo and hard enough to roller skate on |

We could even start by uploading a WAV-based track, and have other forum'ers download, experiment, and upload another track in the form of a WAV. So, you'd end up with:
drums.wav
bass.wav
keys.wav
guitar.wav
solo.wav
vocs.wav
harmonies.wav
and so on. This way, we could all have a go at mixing the end result (as all packages accept this format). Then beg JM to "guest" on the final version, and dingo! another bonus track for the collection (er, OK, I got carried away with that one).
Who else is up for it? _________________ I'm anespeptic, frasmotic, even compunctuous to have caused you such pericumbobulations... |

Sounds like a most excellent idea - I'm up for it!
How do we kick it off?? _________________ Superia Commerce...my company (and suppliers of the It Bites website) |

I'd be happy to chip in with a few bits and pieces.
I have been intending to get something similar going on the Frost* forum but I got bogged down trying to create a skeleton structure for a whole track.
I still hope to do it one day.
However, the bit-by-bit approach could work, I guess....unless we end up with some of what JM referred to as "patchwork" prog! |

Sorry Dena, I'd have to give you my JV-1080 module fully loaded with expanders - it's one of the presets!!!!
I do wish I still had my real Stylophone - my brother pulled the pen too hard and broke the wire off, so it got chucked away... have you seen what they go for on ebay?!!!
On a serious note, I'm up for some collaboratives, and I have lots of proggy keys, and a little talent. We should have a meet up.

Yeah, I've been pondering this in the car today, about how the frog we're gonna get something sorted... I thought we could at least start with a guitar riff, and send this 'round to see what other's came up with, but perhaps a physical meet-up is the better option.
Will we end up with 10 guitarists and a drummer, though? _________________ I'm anespeptic, frasmotic, even compunctuous to have caused you such pericumbobulations... |
