Cool Mule

Certainly would argue with the warty one to keep him out of the top 10 list!

Cool

Good call!!

Charlie Tumahai (Be Bop Deluxe) - bass, backing vox is on the list but it sounds like he may have passed away, what a sad loss if he has - Be Bop were a big part of my musical formation!

Did you go and see Bill Nelson at the rescue rooms last year Bonzo? A great gig by all accounts but I unfortunately missed it. Sad

Sadly, yes, Charlie Tumahai passed away a few years ago now, back in his native NZ I believe. A great talent, huge contribution to the BBD sound.

On the subject of BBD, I'd like to propose that the best guitar tone *ever* is Bill's playing on "Crying to the Sky" (or possibly "Maid in Heaven"). While he wasn't a shredder in the same way as FD (or JM for that matter), Bill Nelson has to be one of the all-time guitar greats.

Cool Dronny

We should continue to exchange BBD faves with Wavey.

I was blown away by Fair Exchange as a young drummerist............ Also I was greatly influenced by the vox, melodies and lyrics too.
