After the inspired Dorie thingy performance at Bilston, have been reading-up on the tambourine. Reckon I'll give it a go. Any tips from you expert musos out there? Snares and stuff. Thanks in advance!

Hey Bonzo, take the headphones off mate, your shouting....I said..... Smile

@ Bat and Dena: Phil Collins did (and still does) a fairly impressive tambourine dance during live performances of "I know what I like". But then, you might already know that.

Actually, if I try to think of notable players of the tambourine I get :-
    1) Ray Cooper
    2) Phil Collins
    erm...oh yes,
    3) that bird from the Salvation Army.
BTW It's not much of a trial to decode "Phyllis" as a p-take version of Phil in this context, is it? Wink

Silly Pedro, of course. Laughing

Shouldn't take everything at Face Value I guess. Smile
(or even Facetious Value)
...I must be going...did I have a jacket?

The tambourine was very popular in the 70's/80's,

Pedro listed:-

1) Ray Cooper
2) Phil Collins
erm...oh yes,
3) that bird from the Salvation Army.

Possibly my top 3 exponents of the t/b, however, Peter Gabriel hooked the t/b up with a bass drum to great effect.

Robert Plant also loved to shake his tambourine on occasions too!
