Think a draw would have been a fair result Dave. I thought the penalty was soft and Valencia went down far too easily, but i don't think the reds deserved to win the game. _________________ Oh my god - the genius of it all |

I think Shelvey was too pumped up Dave. Both players feet actually left the ground, but Shelvey's was definitely the more aggressive tackle and the kind i've seen end careers.Totally agree with you over the penalty though mate. _________________ Oh my god - the genius of it all |

I'm not saying that Shelveys tackle didn't deserve some sanction. For me Evans went in dangerously as well and on another day a different ref may have seen the incident differently. However I do sympathise with Halsey as he saw it once in real time. _________________ What's wrong with being sexy? |

Yeah, just looked at both, and still think Shelvey's tackle was far more aggressive.I'm not saying Evans was innocent in all this, but like I said before
I just think Shelvey was too pumped up and lost his head. _________________ Oh my god - the genius of it all |

The modern game is so fast and the incentive for players to mis-lead the officials make it very difficult for referees to accurately access every incident. You have to decide whether you take the view that decisions will eventually balance themselves out over the course of a season or to allow video technology to aid the referees. I personally think footballers ought to have their wages capped to the equivalent of nurses so they play for the love of it rather than financial gain. Give the money saved to nurses. _________________ 'I'm so wrapped up in writing words for you' |

An admirable thought Paul, but could you imagine the rumpus it would cause I was reading about the spurs defender vertonghen the other day,and how he needs a rest because he's tired already. What a joke these pampered pussies are, I wouldn't mind but for these capitol one cup matches, most are all wrapped in cotton wool and given the night off to rest for the weekends premiership matches, while it gives the managers the chance to " blood the kids " _________________ Oh my god - the genius of it all |

Be back before you know it Dave, and with the added incentive of having Jose back and Moyes in the hot seat at Man U, and Pellegrini too, should make for a hell of an interesting season mate _________________ Oh my god - the genius of it all |

Well.. come on then. Who is going to come where this season ? what a great season we have in prospect. We've all had a brilliant summer off from the footie, great weather, incredible achievements ( the ashes, tour de France
and Wimbledon etc ) almost makes me proud to be British again But who is going to win the Premiership this season ? Man city look like they could do well and have spent wisely and big as usual, as have Spurs, West Ham and Liverpool IMO, but will they have a say come the end of the season ?, and no Susie and Rob..Bolton won't be winning it this year, just like Birmingham won't _________________ Oh my god - the genius of it all |

Liverpool I think will do better this year maybe not CL yet but certainly will be closer. Especially if Suarez stays and Coutinho stays fit. Reckon Man City will win the title this year. Hope it isn't Chelski and the special one.
Fancy Forest for promotion this year - sorry Gazza! _________________ What's wrong with being sexy? |

Don't think Brum will be anywhere near the play offs this season Dave, they weren't last season Think Forest and Leicester will get there or thereabouts, Billy Davies is a good manager. Hope Bolton do well, just for Susie and Rob _________________ Oh my god - the genius of it all |
