Okay anyone else going to Leamington on Saturday for not only the final Touchstone show, but also the chance to see the mighty Magenta and of course the excellent John Mitchell doing as acoustic set. You might have heard of him - he is in other bands you know.
Fully expecting there to be other forum members at this one. _________________ What's wrong with being sexy? |

I'm pretty sure the Mossive will be there, as will Russ HD. I'm unable to make this one, unfortunately, but it looks like a stellar line-up. Enjoy! _________________ Innit. |

It was a great gig...did you get to it Dave?
Lots of people there that we hadn't seen for a while. Great to see Sir Waveydavey after a long time...
Sad that it's the end of Touchstone....for now.... _________________ 'I once killed a Badger by playing it Pendragon' |

Hi Rob,
yes I did make it - saw you and Russ in the queue outside and meant to say hello in the venue but didn't spot you again!
Thought John Mitchell was a great start, Magenta were OK, Christina sang brilliantly but it wouldn't have been my choice of songs, I like their earlier stuff to be fair.
Touchstone were great - shame for Kim about her voice but great effort by Heather Findlay to step in and do the higher vocals. Good night overall I thought and hopefully Touchstone will re-surface in the not too distant future.
Topped it all off with a nice little curry in a rather odd place just down the road.. _________________ What's wrong with being sexy? |

Which place was that? I've never had a bad curry in Leamington (unlike Bilston)! _________________ Innit. |

Ali's curry house? Something like that. Ali seemed to be an old fella just about keeping up with orders. In the meantime the bar seemed to be on a help yourself basis. I ordered 2 poppadums each and Ali insisted on providing them on the house (very nice thanks) and the only brought 1! The Balti Karahi I had was nice but somewhat on the blow your head off side which I wasn't expecting.
It was nice but the place was a bit weird... _________________ What's wrong with being sexy? |

I seem to remember a place about 50 yards from the front of the Assembly if you turned right out of the front doors. Weird place but impeccable service! _________________ Innit. |

Shame we didn't see you Dave. Quite a few people there we hadn't seen in a while and knew we'd miss somebody
Hopefully catch up soon... _________________ 'I once killed a Badger by playing it Pendragon' |
