Gah - I didn't see this before the gig. I'd have got in touch otherwise and we could have caught up for a drink. Sorry.

Very Happy Caught the guys Friday at Nuneaton, what a fantastic gig,a fairly short set
but it didn't lack quality.FM were also superb i have to say.I caught them at the slade rooms in Wolverhampton the week before, and they had totally rearranged their set by this time.Their new album is worth a tenner of anyone's money too.Managed a quick hello with JM and bought him an obligatory white wine, and before i knew it,he was off getting ready to play.Superb night, and even Vega the first band on ( who i thought were pants
last week ) were quite good this week Very Happy

Hello there. I'm new hereabouts. However I did watch It Bites in Manchester the other day. What a great band. Tremendous musicians. Good mix of songs. From what I remember of the setlist it was Kiss like Judas, Ghosts, The Big Machine, Wind that shakes the barley, Calling all the heroes there were probably a couple of other songs in there that I forgot. They played for around 45 minutes I think. Didn't hang around for FM as I'm not keen and I had a train to catch. Vega were ok though sort of poor mans Def Leppard.

Welcome to the forum X. Good to have you along for the journey. Is this the first time you have caught IB?

Yep. First time I've seen them. I remembered IB from the eighties as having a few catchy tunes but me being an old school progger from the 70's didn't get past hearing them on the radio and never realised they were as good as they were. It was only recently I happened across Wallflower on a compilation album and thought "Wow!" I really like that. After a bit of youtubing I checked out Map of the past and then bought it. I've backtracked and bought the whole collection since. But I reckon Map is the best album I've heard in years. When I heard they were playing Manchester I had to check them out. I'll definitely keep going back for more.

Thats great to hear. They always had a skilled musicianship hidden behind the pop facade in the 80s. This incarnation of the band is phenomenal and the 2 albums with John Mitchell have taken the band back to where they belong - a top drawer prog band. And that is largely to do with John. Loads of people on the forum here get to Manchester quite often and its good to hook up with like minded folk. It would be good to see you out there and of course on here Very Happy

Very Happy They ( Vega ) did remind me of Def Leppard a little I've got to admit, but they also had that Kareoke element to them as well, that and more woh woh's,oohs, aah's and baby baby's than a Barry White box set. Very Happy
