Well here's something new folks. Who said you never get any news on here? Razz

Hot off the potato press, is the UK/European/Greenland artwork for the new IB live album recorded in Japan last July and very aptly called This Is Japan.

Following a few phone calls to Bob and a "liquid-based" briefing session with JB, I was ready to put the Vitamin P Etch-A-Sketch into overdrive. We tried a few directions and all sorts of titles and then at the last minute, Rich called me and mentioned in passing that he had just spoken to Dena and she had suggested This Is Japan. "Say that again", I exclaimed! It immediately struck a chord with me (how had this one passed us by??? Rolling Eyes ) and this was one of the titles I put forward on the cover visuals to the band.

And the rest, as they say is (or will be) history...

So as you see, inspiration, suggestions and good ideas are always welcome here at the Vitamin P coalface!! Thanks Dena.

Right I'm off for a large saké and a lie down!

x

yeah!

It might have been Dena's idea for the title, but I suggested putting the band's name 'It Bites' onto the cover - when I told the band they loved my idea....and the rest as they say is history.

Wait til you see the images inside. Oh yeah, the music is very good too.

Stunning as always Mr P! You are indeed a legend.

I did think that It Bites would be appropriate as well, however my working title of 'Made in Japan' has apparently been used by some other combo Wink

When at the Darlington drum thing, Bob played to backing tracks of Ghosts,Oh My God and.....CATH,the latter backing track being taken from the Japan recording...and it sounded immense!!! Even tho we're all now used to not hearing it cos we've heard/they've played it forever, it sounded fresh and really kicked,JM's guitars really giving it some drive!! Cant wait for the whole thing!!
